Membership Options
We are a volunteer-run, community charity. We rely on our members to run our lending sessions, and to run the Toy Library itself. There are a number of membership options depending on how much you would like to help out, either with your time or your membership fee. See the table to the right.
Rostered Membership
As a part of the toy library community, you come and help us by completing a rostered duty 4 times a year (once a term) for about 2.5 hours per duty. You will help with checking in toys as they are returned, greeting members and some general small duties around the library. Duties can be done by a family member or a friend of the member's family on their behalf.
$99 a year, 1x Roster Duty per term, unlimited hires
Non-Rostered Membership
For members too busy, or who do not wish to have rostered duties, this is the membership for you - just choose and return your toys.
$215 a year or $130 for 6 months, unlimited hires
Casual Membership
This membership is great for aunts and uncles, foster parents or anyone who doesn't need toys every week or fortnight. Toys can be borrowed 6 times (for up to 14 days) during your membership. The membership lasts 12 months or 6 hires - whichever happens first.
$65 for 6 hires ($100 deposit)
Grandparent Membership
Grandparents or anyone who would like fresh toys for when their little people visit, this membership is better value than Casual for more regular visitors. Toys can be borrowed 9 times (for up to 14 days) during your membership. The membership lasts 12 months or 9 hires - whichever happens first.
$85 for 9 hires ($100 deposit)
Committee Membership
The Toy Library is run by a committee which includes roles like chair, treasurer, social media officer and many others. We do meet once a month, and you will need to commit 1-2 hours a week. This is a great opportunity to get involved in helping your local community and making a difference. Learn how you can help here.
$70 a year, 1-2 hours a week
